Privacy Notice

How Omnium Editions handles personal data and privacy rights across Ireland and international markets.

Draft for legal review · Last updated 6 October 2026

Who is responsible

Omnium Editions is the intended controller of personal data collected through this website. The publisher’s legal entity or proprietor name, Irish postal address, privacy email, company or business registration number and VAT number have not yet been supplied and must be inserted before launch.

Until those details are published, do not send personal or confidential information through the website.

What this site currently collects

This is an information-only catalogue. It does not currently create customer accounts, take orders, process payments or collect newsletter addresses. Search and catalogue filtering occur in the visitor’s browser.

The site stores a consent record containing the notice version, decision time and permitted cookie categories. Hosting infrastructure may necessarily process IP address, request time, requested page, device or browser information, security signals and error logs to deliver and protect the service.

Purposes and legal bases

  • To deliver, secure and troubleshoot the site: legitimate interests in operating a safe publishing website and, where necessary, performance of a requested service.
  • To remember privacy choices: compliance with legal obligations and strictly necessary storage.
  • Analytics, advertising and optional third-party services: consent where required. These categories remain off unless selected.
  • To respond to a direct enquiry once contact facilities are provided: legitimate interests, pre-contract steps or legal obligations, depending on the enquiry.

Recipients, transfers and retention

Actual hosting, analytics, advertising, embedded-service and retailer providers must be named here before they process data. No provider should receive optional data merely because a visitor has opened the site.

Where data leaves the EEA, UK, Canada or another protected jurisdiction, an applicable adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses, UK addendum or other lawful safeguard must be used. Consent records should be retained only as long as needed to demonstrate and honour the choice; security logs should follow a documented short retention schedule.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection; withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing; and complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission or their local supervisory authority.

UK residents may also complain to the ICO. Canadian residents may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or relevant provincial regulator. Australian residents may contact the OAIC. Residents of applicable US states may have rights to know, delete, correct, obtain a portable copy, opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising, limit certain sensitive-data uses, and appeal a refusal. Omnium Editions does not presently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Visit Privacy Requests to see the request process and its current availability, or ask the Privacy & Consumer Rights Guide for general information drawn from these published policies.

Children and automated decisions

This general-audience publishing site is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect children’s personal data. It does not currently make solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

Cookies and controls

See the Cookie Policy for categories and controls. Global Privacy Control and other legally recognised opt-out signals should be honoured by any future advertising technology where applicable.

Applicable frameworks

This notice is intended to support the EU GDPR, Irish Data Protection Act 2018, Irish ePrivacy Regulations, UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, PIPEDA and applicable Canadian provincial laws, Australia’s Privacy Act 1988, and applicable US state privacy laws. Their application depends on the actual processing and the visitor’s location.
