Consumer Rights

Omnium Editions currently presents an information-only catalogue. It does not take payment, confirm orders, dispatch products or issue refunds. When a visitor follows a retailer link, the retailer is normally the seller and its displayed identity, price, tax, delivery, cancellation, returns, warranty and complaints terms govern the transaction.

Consumers may have mandatory rights under the Irish Consumer Rights Act 2022, EU consumer law and national implementing legislation, including clear pre-contract information, conformity remedies and, for many distance contracts, a 14-day withdrawal period subject to statutory exceptions. The actual retailer must explain and honour the rights applicable to its contract.

UK consumers may have mandatory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, including conformity remedies and cancellation rights for eligible distance purchases. These rights are against the contracting retailer and are not displaced by an Irish governing-law clause.

US rights vary by federal and state law. Retailers remain responsible for truthful pricing, advertising, fulfilment, refunds and applicable implied warranties. Some states do not allow exclusions or limits of certain warranties or damages, so a retailer’s limitations may not apply in full.

Canadian consumers retain non-waivable protections under applicable federal and provincial law, including consumer protection, internet agreement, disclosure and implied-warranty rules. The contracting retailer must identify the terms and remedies applying in the purchaser’s province or territory.

Australian consumers retain guarantees and remedies that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees as to acceptable quality, correspondence with description and disclosed purpose. Nothing on this site purports to exclude those guarantees.

Contact the retailer shown on the order confirmation and retain the confirmation, proof of payment and delivery records. Omnium Editions may assist with identifying a retailer once contact details are published, but cannot cancel or refund a transaction to which it is not a party.

The operation of this website is governed by Irish law. That does not override mandatory consumer rights, local regulator powers or court access that cannot lawfully be waived in the purchaser’s country, state, province or territory.
